In partnership with Opower, E.ON is now equipping 5 million customers with the Saving Energy Toolkit, which provides them with analysis about their energy use, costs, and comparative usage patterns in their neighborhood.

Opower’s platform — which leverages data insights and behavioral science to encourage energy efficiency among utility customers — has already had a huge impact on enabling energy savings around the world, with 90 utility partners in seven countries, reaching over 18 million customers. To date, Opower’s platform has helped customers attain £200 million in energy savings. The global energy savings generated are the equivalent of powering a city of 500,000 residents, such as Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England.
